A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced enthusiasts are able to choose the most profitable machine every instance.

After the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the gambler a chance to increase their profits, in which situation another round is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
