Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be bet on in casinos around the globe, or in your house on your personal computer, through an Internet connection. The regulations are very straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the greatest assemblage of cards achievable in order to win cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced players are able to choose the most profitable machine every instance.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the enthusiast a chance to double their profits, in which case another game is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
